Voluntary donation: Gift Aid the basics
You have an opportunity to make a voluntary donation directly to the Woodley Carnival Charities Fund. This fund distributes to voluntary and charitable organisations within the area including donations to projects for the benefit of the Community generally.
The Woodley Carnival is a charity (No. 291732) and receives no public funding. It costs in excess of £30,000 to hold the Carnival each year and is funded by the entry price, any surplus funds are moved to the Woodley Carnival Charities Fund for distribution.
Any voluntary donation you make to the Woodley Carnival Charities Fund is eligible for Gift Aid. By claiming Gift Aid the Woodley Carnival can increase the value of your monetary gift by claiming back the basic rate tax paid. This means every penny you donate will go to local voluntary and charitable organisations.
We need to ask whether you are a UK taxpayer and pay enough income tax or capital gains tax to cover the amount of tax we will reclaim from the taxman (most of our visitors easily do) and whether us Gift Aiding your donation is OK by you.
