This year's "Party in the Park" is set to be yet another blockbuster event. The popular carnival evening concert is one big party full of community spirit and fun, Its family friendly and laid back.
With the stalls and attractions from the afternoon carnival packed away there is ample space and time for you to enjoy a picnic in the park, or you can treat yourself to some excellent food from one of our hot food concessions before the bands start playing.
The Carnival Pub, which is operated by committee helpers, will be open all evening and you can enjoy a Pimms or a pint at very reasonable prices.
We have 4 bands performing throughout the evening and to finish the day in style we have our firework finale, a sight not to be missed.
If your joining us for the evening there is ample FREE parking (after 6pm) adjacent to the carnival field in the local Town Centre car parks. There are event toilets provided adjacent to the Oakwood Centre. The Oakwood Centre toilets are not accessible from the carnival field.
You will need to purchase an evening wristband which is available on the entry gate, you can buy these from noon onward, it also gives entry to the afternoon carnival as well and allows you come and go as you please with re-entry, so why not make a day of it?
Please be aware that BBQ's are not permitted on the carnival field. You may bring alcohol for personal consumption onto the field but please note that NO GLASS IS ALLOWED ON SITE, please decant into plastic containers.
