Crowning Woodley’s beautiful Carnival Queens

Girls in Woodley wore their best frocks on Friday 21st May as they battled it out to be crowned Woodley Carnival Queen.  The event, which took place at the Oakwood Centre in Headley Road, Woodley, kicked off the run up to our 50th Woodley Carnival.

Junior Carnival Queens

The event saw Olivia Wildey, 10, a pupil at Beechwood Primary School, awarded the title of Woodley Junior Carnival Queen.  Kiera Frost, 9, and Cheyenne Larkins, 7, also pupils at Beechwood Primary School, took second and third place, respectively, as Junior Princesses.

Senior Carnival Queens

Meanwhile, in the senior category Becky Whittaker, 14, who studies at The Bulemrshe School, was crowned Woodley Senior Carnival Queen.  In no particular order Claire Pond, Alisha Barclay and Rebacca Clarke, all aged 12 and study at Waingels, took the runner up places.
